I make these spoon rests with my recycled porcelain clay. They are made by rolling out thin sheets of tinted clay and then draping the clay over a form to get the triangular shape. I add many different pigments to the clay beforehand to create the marbled effect, and then press floral clay shapes into the clay to add detail.
The spoon rests are lightweight and measure about 6 1/2” in diameter. They are very shallow and do not have a particular orientation, so they can also simply be used as a plate.
The backs of the spoon rests are unglazed and wet sanded. Hand washing is recommended.
