Butter crocks like these use water to seal butter away from air, keeping it fresh and soft without refrigeration. This design features a deeply inset rim, a donut-shaped knob on the lid for easy maneuvering, and a generously sized butter bell that can hold 1-2 sticks of butter. Each butter keeper in the batch was handmade on the pottery wheel in porcelain.
